Oh I dunno, I sing in the shower? Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I'll wait 6 months between site updates. So sue me...
No, don't sue me. That is opposite the point I'm trying to make.

So it has been a while since I updated the site. Recently, I've noticed that some people have been a little impatient, watching my schedule like a hawk. I managed to create this rundown, just for all you people.
Let's see, where did we last leave off. September of 08! We had just killed the Maestro, and were working on Byzola. Well, he's died about 500 times since our last update, but you never got to see it! Hopefully it made your day. Now let's move on to the fun stuff.
First, before the expansion, Sony released what is possibly the best non expansion update to the game they have ever managed. They added in Guild Halls, and we selected the evil guild hall for BANE. Big shout out to the ladies in the guild, who did most of the work.
You've already seen the entrance, which was featured on the front page, but here it is again!
The main hall features a debate area and throne room.
The bar area, which doubles as a kitchen for crafting.
The alchemy room, featuring all sorts of potions and poisons.
The fish tank, featuring fish.
The forge.
Scribe area.
Jewelry area
The war room, with weapon rack.
The arena, with training dummies.
Probably the coolest area of the guild hall - the game room.
Featuring Air Hockey
Stage for live music and theater
Lounge
Exotic Pets
Games
Piano accompaniment
and of course another bar!
Here are some miscellaneous fountains from around the grounds.
A shot from above, the small statues are another new feature "Trophy Heads" dropped by boss mobs in the expansion.
Sometimes I'll start a update, and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way. Like an improv update.
Everyone is counting on comedy here, so let's hope this works out.
That is where we are now. The new expansion was released. THE SHADOW ODYSSEY. I'm not really sure where they were going, but it turned out pretty nice. We finished up the expansion pretty strong, so we hit this one looking pretty slick.
Here's a bit of heroic scenery I managed to snap as we ground out some AA points.
The theme of this expansion is VOID INVASION. The shadow men are invading Norrath, creating rips in space to anchor their void creations. Sounds pretty complicated, luckily in guild Bane, science is well funded.
Let's look at what we are up against.
and also the standard undead, giants, etc!
So since there was no level cap raise, we jumped right into raiding. The results have been pretty good so far. Easier bosses fell with relative ease.
Thet-em-aua, pretty fun script.
Strange Stalker..
and some other insignificant loot pinatas. Sony was really nice, and turned off smart loot for this expansion. Despite getting over 3-4 of some of the pattern types per week, some of our regular raiders still don't have them. Everyone was pretty excited about that!
But that wasn't going to stop us, these road block mobs did, however. The expansion introduced a new stat, critical mitigation. They basically used it to create artificial progression, which is better than no progression at all! We needed those patterns to take down the next steps of the expansion, Xebnok, Switchmaster and Kultak the Cruel.
With them down, we really hit a roadblock. At first, resetting zones on a 3 day schedule seemed great. But after 3 months of doing the same thing, we started to get a little frustrated. Pattern drops weren't exactly falling the way they needed to be, so we just started working on mobs so we could crush them when the RNG finally went our way!
But first up was the holiday season. With our new guild hall and EQ's Frostfell celebration, our guild hall was certainly looking dapper!
We even celebrated St. Patrick's Day!
Then it was time to celebrate something else
But not your birthday. We celebrated a tremendous amount of ass kicking at the hands of Gynok Moltor. This guy is the boss of the Tomb of the Mad Crusader, and drops the raid set leggings. Since they provide the biggest boost in crit mit, we decided to go after him first.
The fight itself is not that complicated. But Gynok had our number for a number of nights.
Two of the adds in the fight cast Fist of the Norrathian Star, not sure how many of you get the reference, but I think this applies to how the early encounters with Gynok went for us. That is us on the recieving end of the beating.
But after a lot of work, we finally prevailed.
So after a little celebration
We set off to the Palace of the Ancient One, home of Ashanti Sul and her minions. Tythus Tinzok and Ultaclypse stood in our way, and were quickly dispatched.
Finally, after 4 months, they added a new live update. This update included a nifty little x2 raid zone which I mostly forgot to take screenshots of, and a new x4 zone which we haven't had a shot to really sink our teeth into yet. Here's a couple of shots!
Some new mounts were introduced, thanks to the awesome models in these pics!
And I am out of ideas for this update! Hopefully you liked it as much as Dwight likes his bobble head!

Yep In the guild hall we have merchants, trade skill people, port bitzs and a mount hand that gives our horses a speed buff! You sir, have been immortalized as a stable hand! _________________ Stede, Rogue

If anything can get a horse running faster, it's Kheg sneaking up from behind.
